HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath felicitates DRF personnel after Ameerpet fire response

HYDERABAD:  HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath honoured Disaster Response Force personnel who doused a fire within three minutes of receiving an alert.

A fire broke out at Aditya Enclave in Ameerpet on Friday. The HYDRAA DRF team reached the spot in three minutes and used fire extinguishers to control the flames.

Teams 17, 19 and 40, comprising 15 members, received commendation certificates and cash rewards.

DRF joins firefighters, police in rescue

The Commissioner praised the team for rescuing people trapped on the building’s terrace along with fire services personnel and the police.

DRF staff explained the sequence of events and individual roles during the incident. They said Team 17, which was nearby, reached the site in three minutes. Teams 19 and 40 arrived within the next four to five minutes and joined relief efforts.

ADF Officer Mohan Rao, Marshal Durgaprasad, and DRF personnel Ramakrishna, Hatiram, Umesh, Yakub, Gopi, Gopal, Saikumar, Nagaraju, Ramireddy, Raju, Vijay, Saikumar, Eshwar, Sanju and Razak were present.

HYDRAA Additional Director Varla Papayya, RFO Jayaprakash, and DFOs Yagna Narayana and Gautam attended the programme.
