Hyderabad Hmda Earns Record ₹1,225 Crore In 9 Months

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad is witnessing a surge in multi-storey constructions, with the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) approving 77 high-rise projects in the first nine months of this year.

These buildings are planned for residential, commercial, business and office purposes across key city zones. The HMDA said that large-scale projects in the Information Technology corridor are transforming the skyline so dramatically that parts of the city now resemble international business districts.

In Kokapet, a major project featuring five towers of 63 floors each is in progress, while another upcoming complex will include a structure with ground plus 56 floors.

Officials said the trend reflects growing preference for high-rise living and working environments. “Many developers are choosing vertical expansion over horizontal spread, and residents too are showing interest in higher-floor apartments for better views and quieter surroundings,” an HMDA official said.

Several key areas in the Gandipet zone have recently received approvals for massive multi-storey projects, which the HMDA believes will significantly alter the region’s urban profile in the coming years.
