HYDERABAD: After a brief spell of moderate temperatures, Hyderabad is set to experience a sharp rise in heat from March 3, with the mercury expected to touch 36–37°C over the next two days.

Weather observers said temperatures have already begun climbing since March 1, signalling the onset of early summer conditions. The city is likely to witness hotter afternoons, with clear skies contributing to the rise in daytime temperatures.

In East Telangana districts, maximum temperatures are expected to reach around 40°C from March 3 onwards. Districts in the eastern belt typically record higher heat levels during this period due to dry conditions and limited cloud cover.

Officials have advised residents to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak afternoon hours and stay hydrated as temperatures rise further in the coming days.
