Hyderabad gets direct flight connectivity to Hanoi with Vietnam Airlines

Hyderabad: GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd. (GHIAL) has announced the launch of direct flight services between Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Hyderabad, and Noi Bai International Airport (HAN), Hanoi, operated by Vietnam Airlines. The service commenced on May 7, 2025.
Flight VN-984 departs from Hyderabad at 23:45 IST and arrives in Hanoi at 05:25 local time the next day. The return flight, VN-985, departs Hanoi at 19:15 local time and reaches Hyderabad at 22:15 IST. The non-stop service operates three times a week, on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

This new route caters to the increasing demand for travel to Vietnam and improves connectivity for leisure and business travelers from South India. Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital, is known for its historic Old Quarter, temples, and street food. It also provides access to major tourist destinations like Ha Long Bay, Sapa, and Ninh Binh. Vietnam offers Indian travelers simplified visa procedures, including pre-approved visa-on-arrival and e-visa options.
