Hyderabad: Rising expectations that the price of 24-carat gold could soon cross ₹2 lakh per tola have triggered a surge in buying interest among consumers, according to market analysts.

At Sri Krishna Jewellery Mart, a wholesale bullion outlet with a 60-year history in Begum Bazaar, long queues were seen for gold coins and biscuits. Customers lined up from morning till late night, collecting tokens to purchase gold.
Buyers arrive from across Telangana
People from Hyderabad and other districts travelled to the store to make purchases, traders said, citing heightened demand driven by price expectations.
