Hyderabad gold prices fall ₹1,200 per 10 grams

HYDERABAD: Gold prices fell sharply on Thursday, offering relief to buyers ahead of the wedding season.
In the Hyderabad bullion market, the price of 24-carat gold dropped by ₹1,200 per 10 grams to ₹1,58,400. The rate of 22-carat gold declined by ₹1,100 per 10 grams to ₹1,45,200.
Silver prices remained unchanged. A kilogram of silver is currently priced at ₹3,00,000.
Jewellery shop owners said the fall in gold prices is expected to boost purchases. Sales had remained slow in recent weeks, but traders expect footfall to increase in the coming days.
