Kidnapper abducts Hyderabad girl during power outage; Police reunite her with parents

Hyderabad: In a distressing incident in Aghapura, Habib Nagar, Hyderabad, an unknown assailant kidnapped a young girl from her home during a power outage on August 9, 2024 (Friday). The abduction occurred on Friday evening when the suspect broke into the house and took the girl away in a car.
According to the reports, the girl managed to escape from the kidnapper at Nampally Railway Station. She approached a patrolling police team and recounted the details of her kidnapping and escape.
The police promptly notified the girl’s parents and safely returned her to them. Following the incident, the parents filed a formal complaint at the local police station. Police have registered a case and are actively investigating the matter.
It was previously reported that a six-year-old girl was abducted from the Kattelmandi area under the Abids police station.
Prompt action by the police, which included the formation of multiple special teams, resulted in the girl being rescued from a labor camp in Nawal Village, Kothoor Mandal.
The alleged kidnapper, Mohammed Bilal Ansari, has a criminal history involving previous kidnappings and a sexual assault.
In a separate incident, a five-year-old girl was kidnapped from Secunderabad Railway Station. The Secunderabad Railway Police, through diligent investigation and analysis of CCTV footage, rushed to Mehedipatnam, traced the victim girl, and apprehended the culprit near the Mehdipatnam bus stand.
The suspect was further taken into custody and brought to RPS Secunderabad. When questioned, the suspect confessed to the crime, stating that due to financial problems, he kidnapped the minor girl with the intention of demanding ransom for her safe return. He was produced before the Railway Court for judicial custody.
