Hyderabad gears up for International Kite, Sweet Festival at Parade grounds from Jan 13-15

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Tourism department is gearing up for the much-anticipated International Kite and Sweet Festival, scheduled to take place in Hyderabad at Secunderabad Parade Grounds from January 13 to 15, 2024.

The Kite festival, designed to spotlight the cultural heritage of Telangana, was formally inaugurated by Tourism Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao during an unveiling ceremony at the Begumpet Haritha Plaza Hotel.

Telangana tourism minister Jupally Krishna Rao emphasized the cultural significance of the event, revealing plans to welcome 40 international kite flyers from 16 countries and 60 national kite club members. The three-day celebration promises a vibrant display of diverse kite designs soaring through the skies.

Beyond the enchanting kite displays, attendees can explore stalls showcasing a diverse selection of national and international sweets. The festival grounds will also feature stalls with handicrafts and handloom products, creating a space for cultural exchange. Cultural programs are planned to elevate the festive atmosphere.

Importantly, entry to the International Kite and Sweet Festival is free for everyone, encouraging a broad and diverse audience to join in the festivities and celebrate the vibrant cultural showcase.
