Drug party busted again in Gachibowli

Hyderabad: The Special Operations Team (SOT) of Cyberabad police busted another drug party in Gachibowli on Sunday night. Acting on a tip off, officials raided a co-living guest room where a group of youngsters were consuming narcotics.
Police arrested 12 persons, including six drug peddlers and six consumers. The accused were found in possession of MDMA and ganja during the raid, officials said.
Among those arrested were drug supplier Gutta Teja Krishna, his associate Sajeer, and Nigerian national Wesley Sujit Karlapudi, who allegedly sourced narcotics from Karnataka and sold them to Hyderabad youth.
Others arrested were identified as Vennela Ravi Kiran, Manne Prashanth, P. Harshavardhan Reddy, Lokesh Reddy, Prithvi Vishnuvardhan, Gundaboyina Nagarjuna, Mekala Gautham, and Guntaka Satish Reddy.
Police said the drugs were procured from Bengaluru and supplied to customers in Hyderabad through local networks. All 12 accused have been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Further investigation is underway to identify others involved in the supply chain, the SOT added.
