Aviation Trainer Under Scanner as Trainee Raises Allegations

HYDERABAD: Police have booked a former flight instructor at a city aviation academy after a trainee pilot accused him of misconduct and assault.
According to Begumpet police, the 30-year-old accused is currently in his hometown in Kerala, and teams are working to trace him. The survivor approached police on September 7, 2025, alleging that the instructor promised to help her secure better scores and pressured her for personal favours.
Incident Allegedly Occurred at Instructor’s Residence
Police said the alleged incident took place at the instructor’s paying guest accommodation in Brahmanwadi.
In her complaint, the survivor stated that she shared a close rapport with the accused and treated him like a brother. She often visited his residence for academic support.
She alleged that in December 2025, the instructor asked her to stay back while discussing personal issues. When she entered a room, he allegedly locked the door and forced himself on her despite her resistance.
Delay in Filing Complaint Under Investigation
Investigators noted that the incident allegedly occurred in December 2025, but the complaint was filed several months later.
“The accused left the academy a few months ago and moved to Kerala,” said Begumpet inspector P Saidulu.
Police Probe Multiple Angles
Police registered a case under Section 63 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Officials said they have just begun the investigation and are examining all aspects.
They are also looking into a case reportedly filed in Kerala against the survivor’s mother and brother a day before she approached the police.
“We are verifying all details. We need to understand the nature of the relationship and the circumstances surrounding the case in Kerala,” police said.
Institute Unaware of Allegations
Officials said the aviation institute had no prior knowledge of the allegations against the instructor.
