Hyderabad family of five meets with fatal road accident in US; three killed
HYDERABAD: Three members of a Hyderabad family were killed and two others were critically injured in a road accident near St Francis in the United States, according to information shared by the family and community members.
The deceased were identified as Nazeya Salma, 45, Nihayeen Sheikh, 19, and Umar Sheikh, 14. They were travelling with Dr Sheikh Abdul Naveed, 47, and their five-year-old daughter, Khadeeja Sheikh, when the accident occurred.
Dr Naveed, a native of Vani Nagar in Saidabad, Hyderabad, is a director at pharmaceutical company Merck. He and Khadeeja sustained critical injuries and are undergoing treatment at a local hospital. Their condition was reported to be serious.
Family mourns loss
The accident has left relatives and residents of Vani Nagar in deep mourning. Family members are awaiting further updates on the condition of the injured and arrangements following the tragedy.
