They were reportedly en route to Vijayawada when the incident happened early in the morning. Their car hit the truck, which had broken down and was parked on the side of the highway.
This mishap follows a similar incident in the Kodada region, where a young couple lost their lives in a collision with a tipper truck just three days prior. With the onset of summer, there’s an increase in night travel, leading to a higher risk of accidents due to unnoticeable stationary vehicles on the road. Within three days there were two similar road accidents in Nalgonda.
With similar road accidents on the rise, it’s advisable to avoid night time road travel and refrain from overspeeding on highways to reduce the risk of colliding with stationary vehicles, which can be challenging to notice at high speeds. Always remember to wear seat belts and take all necessary safety precautions while travelling by road.
