Hyderabad Fake It Job Scam Busted, One Arrested

Hyderabad: Commissioner’s Task Force (Central) team busted a fake IT job racket and arrested the prime accused in the case on Monday. The police recovered five fake appointment letters, 2 fake ID cards, two mobile phones and Rs. 1 lakh in cash recovered from him.

A 34-year-old Kaluva Bharghav, a resident of Chintal in Jeedimetla is a prime accused in the case. He had opened a fraudulent software company named “Neogen Soft Tech Solutions” in Madhapur. He created a fake website to cheat the vulnerable IT job aspirants, according to a police statement.

Bhargav allegedly duped several IT job seekers on the pretext of arranging jobs in IT companies. He promised to get them placed into positions such as Junior Developers and Software Engineers in the IT companies in return for large sums of money.

To make it look genuine, the accused issued fake appointment letters and ID cards to job seekers and subsequently shut down the firm and fled with their money.

Bhargav is reportedly a serial offender as he is facing criminal breach of trust and other charges in various police stations. He has four cases registered against him at Lalaguda, Jeedimetla, Madhapur, and Kalwakurthy police stations.

In another case, five individuals were arrested by the police in connection with the brutal murder of Umesh in Medchal on Sunday afternoon. According to DCP Koti Reddy, the suspects were apprehended after a thorough investigation, and two knives, four mobile phones, and two motorcycles were recovered from them.

The deceased Umesh was facing 14 criminal cases at Kamareddy police station. He was alcoholic and frequently harassed his family members. Frustrated with the misbehaviour, his brother, Ramesh, along with four accomplices, carried out the murder in the middle of the road. The suspects chased Umesh on National Highway 44 in Medchal and stabbed him with sharp weapons to death.
