HYDERABAD: Excise officials seized 78 liquor bottles during a special enforcement drive near Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) at Pahad Sharif.

The operation involved joint vehicle inspections by the Special Task Force (STF) B-Team, STF Meerpet Station House Officer (SHO), Maheshwaram District Task Force (DTF), and excise staff from Saroornagar.

Joint teams conduct inspections near airport

Officials carried out checks on vehicles passing through Pahad Sharif as part of a targeted enforcement drive in the airport vicinity.

During the inspection, the teams found and seized 78 liquor bottles.

Liquor traced to Delhi and Goa brands

Excise officials said the seized bottles belonged to brands originating from Delhi and Goa.

Cases have been registered against six individuals in connection with the seizure. The confiscated liquor has been handed over to the Meerpet Excise Station for further investigation and legal action.
