Election Commission Opens 16 Help Desks in Hyderabad: Everything Voters Need to Know
HYDERABAD: The Election Commission has opened 16 help desks across Hyderabad district to assist voters during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll. The desks help voters fill enumeration forms and provide details about the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO), and Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
An in-charge is available at each help desk to explain the revision process, guide voters on the do’s and don’ts, and answer their questions.
Help desks opened at key municipal offices
The Election Commission has set up help desks at the municipal office in Domalguda for Musheerabad, Government Quarters for Malakpet, and the Abids Parking Complex for Amberpet and Goshamahal.
Voters from Khairatabad and Karwan can visit the Khairatabad municipal office. Jubilee Hills voters can access the help desk at Yousufguda checkpost, while Sanathnagar voters can visit Hari Hara Kala Bhavan.
Nampally voters can submit their queries at the municipal office opposite Sai Baba Temple in Gudimalkapur. Separate help desks operate at Moghalpura for Charminar and Jangammet for Chandrayangutta. Yakutpura and Bahadurpura share a help desk at Phoolbagh.
The Secunderabad help desk functions beside the Secunderabad court, while Secunderabad Cantonment voters can visit the Cantonment Board office. The Election Commission has also opened a help desk at the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner’s Office on Tank Bund.
BLOs to visit homes till July 24
Booth Level Officers will visit households until July 24 to distribute and collect enumeration forms. They will make at least three visits to houses that remain locked. Voters can also submit their forms online, but officials will conduct physical verification later.
“No supporting documents will be collected during the initial phase,” Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudharshan Reddy said.
The Election Commission will publish the draft electoral roll on July 31. Voters can file claims and objections until August 30. The Commission will release the final electoral roll on October 1.
