Hyderabad Directorate enforces facial attendance, strict office hours

HYDERABAD: Employees at the School Education Directorate must follow strict office timings, with authorities introducing a facial recognition attendance system and penalties for violations.
Officials said staff will face action for late arrivals and early departures. Director Naveen Nicholas has ordered strict implementation of facial recognition-based attendance and directed that leave be deducted for repeated violations.
Mandatory presence till 5 pm
Monthly attendance will be calculated based on the facial recognition system. Employees must report to the office by 10:40 am. Attendance marked between 10:41 am and 11:30 am will be treated as late.
If an employee is late three times in a month, one casual leave (CL) will be deducted.
Employees must remain in office until 5 pm. Logging out between 4 pm and 5 pm will be treated as early departure. For every three such instances, one CL will be deducted.
Full-day leave for early exit violations
Leaving before 4 pm or failing to register logout will be treated as a full-day leave.
If employees do not have sufficient casual leave, deductions will be made from earned leave (EL) as per district office rules.
