Hyderabad Cricket Association announces Women’s U19 team for BCCI T20 Tournament
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cricket Association has revealed the squad the Women’s Selection Committee selected to represent Hyderabad Women’s U19 in the BCCI T20 Tournament. This tournament is scheduled to take place at Rajkot from October 1 to October 8, 2024.
The team features K. Nidhi as the wicketkeeper and captain, with G. Kavya Shree serving as the vice-captain. Other key players include S. Mithra (WK), Sandhya Gora, K. Tejeswini, Drithi Kesari, Vaishnavi Yadav, and Vrishti Kumari. The entire squad also includes K. Niteesha, Jasmine Gill, E. Srujana, P. Parvathi, C.H. Deekshitha, Shaik Sheema, and Akshitha Goud M.
The support staff for the team includes P. V. Hansika Rao, N. Babitha, Gayatri Chowhan, Bilvika Reddy, and T. Likitha. The coaching staff consists of Head Coach Suvarna Laxmi, Assistant Coach Harsha Harinayana, S&C Coach Himani Yadav, and Physio Sneha Tiwari.
The junior selection committee has announced the teams selected for the U19 probable matches leading up to the final team selection for the BCCI-Vinoo Mankad Trophy. The tournament started on September 16 and will continue until September 21, 2024.
On September 16, the matches were as follows: Jr Zonals U19 A scored 262-9 in 38 overs, while Jr Zonals U19 B reached 263-5 in 37.2 overs at New Maddies Cricket Ground, in Hyderabad.
In another game, Jr Zonals U19 C made 152-5 in 29.4 overs, with Jr Zonals U19 F scoring 151-7 in 31 overs at Saanvi Cricket Ground.
Finally, Jr Zonals U19 D totaled 153-10 in 41.2 overs, and Jr Zonals U19 E achieved 154-3 in 27.2 overs at SR Cricket Ground – 1.
