Filmnagar constable ends life over financial distress

Hyderabad:Â A police constable attached to the Filmnagar police station reportedly died by suicide at his residence in Mallikarjun Nagar, Uppal, on Friday.
The deceased, identified as Srikant (2009 batch), is said to have hanged himself at home.
Police officials said Srikant had not reported for duty since October 23.
Preliminary inquiries suggest that financial problems may have driven him to take the extreme step.
A case has been registered, and investigation is under way.
