Hyderabad Citizens Raise Concerns Over Blocked Metro Entrance At Mgbs Station

Hyderabad: Hyderabad citizens have expressed concerns regarding the blocked entrance to the MGBS Metro Station, which has been causing significant inconvenience to commuters. For the past six months, the once-free parking at the station has been replaced with paid parking services provided by TGSRTC and ParkMate Smart Parking Solutions.

Speaking to Hyderabad Mail, Galibe Vishal, a citizen, social activist, and advocate, highlighted the issue. He said, “MGBS Metro Station used to offer free parking, but now, TGSRTC and ParkMate have been collecting parking fees for the past six months. To make matters worse, ParkMate has blocked the metro entrance, creating difficulties for commuters.”

Vishal also wrote a letter to the Managing Director of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC), VC Sajjanar, urging immediate action. In the letter, he noted that the introduction of paid parking had already caused inconvenience, but the recent blockage of the metro entrance had exacerbated the problem. He pointed out that this blockage was particularly problematic for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and others who rely on easy access to the station.

Vishal further highlighted the need for the authorities to resolve the situation promptly, stating, “I kindly request you to address this matter and restore proper entry and exit access at MGBS Metro Station. Public transport should prioritize accessibility and commuter convenience.”

Citizens are awaiting a response from TGSRTC to address these growing concerns and improve the commuting experience for all passengers.
