Tollywood actors Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Rashmika donates for Wayanad

Hyderabad: Actors from the Telugu Film industry are showing their philanthropic spirit by donating towards the victims of the Kerala landslide in Wayanad. The devastating landslide has claimed over 350 lives so far and left hundreds of others injured and several missing.

In this scenario, actors are donating to the Kerala government to carry the relief operations. On Sunday, actor Chiranjeevi, along with his son, Ram Charan, stepped forward to support the victims and the duo have announced a joint donation of Rs. 1 crore towards relief efforts.

This generous contribution follows a long history of Chiranjeevi extending support to those in need. From the Kargil War to the Gujarat earthquake, the tsunami, Uttarakhand floods, Konasema floods, and the Vizag cyclone, Chiranjeevi has consistently been at the forefront of providing aid during times of crisis.

Chiranjeevi expressed his grief on social media, stating, “My heart breaks for those who lost their lives in Wayanad district. Praying for the recovery of the victims.”

Further actor Allu Arjun also donated Rs.25 lakhs to the Kerala CM Relief fund. In a social media announcement, the actor said, “I am deeply saddened by the recent landslide in Wayanad. Kerala has always given me so much love, and I want to do my bit by donating Rs.25 lakh to the Kerala CM Relief Fund to support the rehabilitation work. Praying for your safety and strength.” Meanwhile, Allu Arjun’s co-actor, Rashmika Mandanna also donated Rs.10 lakhs earlier for the Wayand landslide victims.

Meanwhile, the production house, Sithara Entertainments also donated to the Kerala CM Relief fund. In a post, it said, “In light of the recent devastating Wayanad landslides, #SitharaEntertainments and Team #LuckyBaskhar express their heartfelt support to all the affected. We are donating Rs. 5 lakhs to the Kerala Government Disaster Relief Fund, hoping to see the resilient people of God’s Own Country rise once again in these testing times.”

Other actors such as Jyotika, Karthi & Suriya have donated Rs. 50 Lakhs to the CM Relief Fund. They also send their deepest condolences to the families and people of Kerala.
