Hyderabad police recover 30 lost mobile phones, return to owners
HYDERABAD: The Charminar police in Hyderabad city recovered 30 lost or stolen mobile phones and returned them to their owners on July 11, 2026.
The recovery was carried out using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal along with technical investigation, police said.

The Charminar police station’s detective team traced the devices from various locations through sustained technical tracking and follow-up on the CEIR portal.
Officials said the recovered phones were handed over to their rightful owners during a programme held at the police station.
Police urge prompt reporting of lost mobile phones
Police advised citizens to immediately report lost or stolen mobile phones at the nearest police station or register complaints on the CEIR portal.
They said early reporting helps authorities trace, block and recover devices quickly.
