Hyderabad police arrest bike theft accused, seize three vehicles

HYDERABAD: The Charminar police station crime team arrested a man involved in two-wheeler thefts and seized three vehicles from his possession.

Accused tracked using CCTV, social media surveillance

Acting on credible information, the team conducted raids within the Charminar zone and apprehended Mohammed Nayeem Khan, also known as Mohammed Salman, 26. He works as a Rapido driver and resides in Sheri Galli, King Kothi.

Police said they monitored his movements through CCTV footage and inputs from informers. His social media posts on Instagram were also analysed to track his activity.

Three Honda Activa scooters recovered from accused

The police seized three Honda Activa scooters of different colours green, brown and black from the accused.

Accused admits thefts across two police station limits

On April 28, 2026, around afternoon, the accused was identified at Madina X Road and taken into custody. During questioning, he admitted to stealing three two-wheelers in the limits of Charminar and Narayanguda police stations.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police P. Chandrasekhar. Inspector T. Rambabu, Detective Inspector K. Narsing Rathod, Detective Sub-Inspector G. Satish Reddy, and the crime team were part of the operation.
