Hyderabad Businessman Robbed Of ₹2.5 Crore In Cash & Gold

Hyderabad: A businessman was robbed of over Rs. 2.50 crore in cash, gold jewelry, and other valuables while he was away attending a wedding with his family in Dubai.

The incident took place in Himayat Nagar locality of Hyderabad. Upon returning home, the businessman Kedia found that the lock of his house had been broken and subsequently realized that a robbery had occurred and valuables and cash had been stolen.

Kedia immediately informed the local police, who reached his residence and conducted a thorough inspection of the house. They gathered details of the stolen valuables and launched an investigation. Forensic experts, including a clues team and a dog squad were seen gathering evidence at Kedia’s house.

Authorities are suspecting a couple from Bihar, who were working in the businessman’s house, may have committed burglary and escaped with gold ornaments, jewellery and cash.

Himayat Nagar police have launched a search operation to trace the burglars. They are also analyzing CCTV footage from the surveillance cameras installed in the surrounding areas to identify potential suspects and track down the culprits.

In a similar case, Mirchowk police arrested two individuals on charges of committing a burglary at a businessman’s house at Kali Khabar in the old city area.

The police recovered a mobile phone, gold and silver ornaments and a bike, all worth over Rs. 2.60 lakh from the possession of the arrested persons. The accused were identified as 33-year-old Mohammed Noor Hassan of Noor Khan Bazar and 23-year-old Himayath Hussain Ansari of Dabeerpura.
