HYDERABAD: Burglars struck again in the Rajendranagar police station limits, breaking into the house of a software engineer at Kismatpur village under Bandlaguda Jagir Municipal Corporation.

According to Rajendranagar police, the incident occurred late on Tuesday night when the owner, Kiran Kumar, a software engineer living in Om Nagar Colony, was away attending a family function. On returning home on Wednesday morning, he found the main door broken and valuables missing.

The intruders decamped with about 30 tolas of gold ornaments and ₹1 lakh in cash. Family members, on noticing the theft, immediately alerted the police.

A case has been registered and investigation is underway. Forensic teams visited the spot and collected evidence, while CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined to identify the culprits, police said.
