Tragic: Hyderabad boy dies after choking on 3 chapatis during lunch

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a class 6 student at a private school in Secunderabad died after choking on chapatis he was eating during a lunch break.

The deceased student, identified as Viral Jain, tried to eat three chapatis at a time, and it got stuck in his throat. The boy struggled to breathe due to choking on food. The boy’s father, Gowtham Jain, informed the police that he received a call from his son’s school (Akshara International School) after he choked on food while eating his lunch and had trouble breathing.

He immediately took his son to Geetha Nursing Home, Marredpally, for treatment, but the hospital staff advised him to shift him to Apollo Hospital, Secunderabad, where the doctor pronounced him brought dead. Meanwhile, the body of Vikas has been shifted to Gandhi Hospital for a postmortem.
