Hyderabad BJP candidate Madhavi Latha faces case over bow-arrow gesture towards mosque

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad police have registered a case against Hyderabad BJP MP candidate Kompella Madhavi Latha for making an imaginary arrow gesture towards a Masjid in Hyderabad.
Following a complaint filed by Mohammad Sheikh Imran, a resident of Old City, the police registered an FIR against BJP Hyderabad candidate Madhavi Latha. She was booked under section 295A IPC (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings) for her ‘bow and arrow’ gesture.
Kompella Madhavi Latha’s ‘bow and arrow’ gesture towards a mosque during a Ramnavami rally in Hyderabad sparked controversy after the video went viral on social media. However, she later denied that her intention wasn’t to shoot the mosque and asked the citizens to watch the full video before blaming her.
