Plan Your Route: Hyderabad Traffic Diversions for Jagannath Rath Yatra on July 16
HYDERABAD: Traffic restrictions and diversions will be in force in Banjara Hills on July 16, 2026, for the Sri Jagannatha Swamy Ratha Yatra. The procession will start from Jagannath Temple on Road No. 12 and continue from 12 noon to 8 pm.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police will regulate vehicle movement around the temple and nearby roads. As a result, commuters may face temporary delays in the area.
Diversions for motorists from key city routes
Motorists travelling from Masab Tank, Lakdikapul and Khairatabad towards Road No. 12, Film Nagar, Shaikpet and Road No. 45 should take Road No. 1, Road No. 10, Zaheer Nagar, NTR Bhavan and Jubilee Hills Check Post. Alternatively, they can use Road No. 12, the ACB Office by-lane, MLA Colony, Omega Hospital and Apollo Junction.
Meanwhile, motorists coming from Shaikpet, Film Nagar, Jubilee Hills and Tolichowki towards Road No. 12 should travel via Jubilee Hills Check Post, Road No. 10, Zaheer Nagar and Road No. 1 in Banjara Hills.
Similarly, commuters travelling from Madhapur, HITEC City, Road No. 45 and Road No. 36 towards Road No. 12 should use Jubilee Hills Check Post, NTR Bhavan, Road No. 10, Zaheer Nagar and Road No. 1 in Banjara Hills.
Police advise commuters to plan travel
The traffic police urged commuters to plan their journeys in advance and use the notified alternative routes. They also advised motorists to expect temporary delays near the procession route.
