Sagar Highway near LB Nagar traffic hit by auto drivers LPG protest

HYDERABAD: Traffic came to a standstill on the Sagar Highway near LB Nagar on Wednesday after auto-rickshaw drivers staged a protest over the shortage of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
The drivers blocked the busy stretch by parking their vehicles across the road from morning hours, leading to severe congestion and long delays for commuters.
The protesters said they had been waiting in long queues at fuel stations but were unable to access LPG, affecting their livelihoods. “The shortage has hit our daily earnings badly,” a driver said.
They added that the fuel crisis has also led to an increase in auto fares, placing an additional burden on passengers.
Drivers seek immediate government intervention
The drivers demanded that the government streamline LPG supply and resolve the issue at the earliest.
Police from the Malkajgiri Commissionerate reached the spot and began efforts to clear the congestion and restore normal traffic movement.
