Hyderabad police arrest four for dangerous bike stunts

HYDERABAD: Police arrested four persons for performing dangerous bike stunts on public roads under the limits of Attapur Police Station and sent them to judicial remand on March 31, 2026.

Stunts on public road endanger commuters, police say

The accused were identified as Mohammed Ameer Baba, 21, an AC technician from Borabanda; Mohammed Ashwaq, 19, a bike mechanic from New Hafeezpet, Miyapur; Mohammed Sameeruddin, 26, a car driver from BS Maktha, Begumpet; and Mohammed Nashith alias Mohammed Nasheer, 20, a delivery worker from BS Maktha, Khairatabad.

Police said the accused were performing dangerous stunts, posing a threat to public safety.

Case registered under BNS and Motor Vehicles Act

According to police, on March 27, 2026, a police constable and a home guard on patrol noticed a person performing risky stunts on a Honda Dio (TS 09 FL 1262) near pillar number 143 towards Aramghar around 8 pm.

When police tried to stop the vehicle, the rider sped away recklessly. Despite knowing the risk to other motorists and pedestrians, the accused violated traffic rules and obstructed police duty.

A case (Crime No. 351/2026) was registered under Sections 125, 281, 292 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 183, 184, 190(2) of the Motor Vehicles Act.

Court sends accused to judicial remand

The accused were produced before a court on March 31, 2026, which remanded them to judicial custody.

Police warn against illegal road stunts

Police said strict action will be taken against those performing stunts on roads and endangering public safety. They urged citizens to report such activities immediately.
