Hyderabad pile up 303 against Andhra in U-14 meet

HYDERABAD: Varun Yadav struck an unbeaten 113 to anchor Hyderabad’s innings on the opening day of the South Zone Inter-State under-14 cricket tournament on Thursday.
Varun, who faced 115 balls and hit 12 fours and four sixes, added 133 runs for the sixth wicket with C V Chetan Aditya (76) as Hyderabad posted 303 in 69.5 overs.
For Andhra, Akshat Sinha picked up four wickets for 92 runs, while Sima Satwik returned figures of 3/48.
Andhra steady in reply
In reply, Andhra reached 104 for one in 20 overs, with opener T Kinnu Kishal batting on 55 off 63 balls, including six fours. Raj remained unbeaten on 36 at the close of play.

Sai Pragnay century puts EMCC ahead in final
M Sai Pragnay Reddy’s century powered EMCC to a crucial first-innings lead against Evergreen in the A-Division two-day league championship final on Thursday.
Pragnay cracked 148 off 192 balls, striking 20 fours and a six, as EMCC replied with 263 after Evergreen’s first-innings total of 247.
Md Saqlain Arafat led Evergreen’s bowling with figures of 4/53.

Khammam beat Medak to lift inter-district title
Khammam clinched the HCA Inter-district one-day cricket championship with a 15-run win over Medak in the final.
Batting first, Khammam scored 276 for eight in 45 overs, with C Guru Vidhwan top-scoring with 76. P Dhruva (47) and KVS Charan (39) provided useful support, while K Manvith remained unbeaten on 34.
Medak were bowled out for 261 in 44.5 overs in reply, despite Saif Bin Sohail’s 42.
