Hyderabad police seize ₹1.5 lakh defence liquor
HYDERABAD: Ameerpet police seized 55 bottles of Karnataka premium/defence liquor worth ₹1.5 lakh near S.R. Nagar in Hyderabad and arrested a 46-year-old man in connection with the alleged illegal sale of the liquor.
Police identified the accused as K. Govardhan Reddy. According to police, he was allegedly transporting the liquor illegally and selling it in the city.
Police said Reddy was selling the bottles for a profit of ₹300-500 per bottle. The total value of the seized liquor was estimated at ₹1.5 lakh.
The seizure was made near S.R. Nagar, under the Ameerpet police station limits. Police arrested Reddy following the seizure and are continuing their investigation into the alleged illegal transportation and sale of the liquor.
