HYDERABAD: Panic gripped the All India Radio (AIR) station in Hyderabad on Tuesday after authorities received a bomb threat email claiming explosives had been planted on the premises.

According to initial information, the sender stated that 13 chemical bombs had been placed inside the facility and would be detonated soon.

Police teams, along with bomb disposal squads and dog squads, rushed to the station after being alerted by AIR officials. Security personnel carried out intensive checks across the premises while staff were advised to remain cautious.

After a thorough search operation, officials confirmed that no explosives were found. Staff at the station expressed relief following the clearance.

Police said an investigation is underway to identify and apprehend the sender of the hoax email. Further details are awaited.
