Afzalganj Police Seize Three Stolen Bikes

HYDERABAD: Afzalganj police arrested a 39 year old man in connection with three bike theft cases and seized three stolen two-wheelers.
The accused, Mohammed Riaz Uddin alias Riaz, a liquor depot worker from RK Nagar, Amberpet, was arrested following an inquiry into a complaint filed on February 11, 2026.
Complaint at Osmania General Hospital
P Mahender, a resident of Banjara Hills and an employee of Osmania General Hospital, told police that his Hero Splendor Plus (AP.15.S.7697) was stolen from the Liver Care Ward parking area of the hospital. Afzalganj police registered a case and began an inquiry.
During investigation, the crime team examined CCTV footage and detained Riaz. Police said he confessed to three bike thefts committed on different dates within Afzalganj limits.

The cases were registered as:
Cr No. 60/2026 under Section 305(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Afzalganj police station
Cr No. 07/2026 under Section 305(b) BNS, Afzalganj police station
Cr No. 474/2025 under Section 305(b) BNS, Afzalganj police station

Honda Activa (TS.09.EX.6820) linked to Cr No. 07/2026
Honda Activa (TS.09.EV.1856) linked to Cr No. 474/2025
Used duplicate keys in public parking areas
Police said Riaz was addicted to alcohol and sought easy money to meet personal expenses. He allegedly used duplicate keys to steal bikes from MGBS parking, Ashok Bazaar and Osmania hospital areas.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Golconda Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police G Chandra Mohan and Additional DCP Krishna Goud, with guidance from Goshamahal Assistant Commissioner of Police S Sudarshan.
Detective Sub-Inspector V Narender Reddy, constables J Jitender, Mohammed Suleman, G Srikanth, Vishal Kumar, and head constables G Madhusudan and Srikanth Bidla were part of the team. The DCP commended the officers and announced rewards.
