HYDERABAD: Ahead of Ramzan, authorities have intensified food safety inspections across Hyderabad. Officials conducted multiple raids and seized adulterated and unhygienic food products across the city.
Paneer Racket Busted in City
In a major operation, the Khairatabad Zone Task Force police and Food Safety officials busted an illegal paneer unit. It operated under the Mahankali police station limits.
Officials seized nearly 3,000 kg of adulterated paneer from six locations. They recovered 1,600 kg from Sri Balaji Dairy Products and 1,000 kg from Vijay Milk and Curd Shop. The remaining stock came from other linked outlets.
Supply Network Under Scanner
Meanwhile, investigators found that the accused supplied adulterated paneer across Hyderabad. The network covered several parts of the city.
Officials confirmed the paneer was unsafe for consumption. They have sent samples for lab testing. Teams are now tracking other outlets linked to the supply chain. Further action is likely under food safety laws.
