Heritage and cultural appeal boost Hyderabad’s score

Laad Bazaar’s pearl and jewellery markets helped the city achieve a top-20 rank in the Shopping category.
Technology and business ecosystem recognised
The city’s technology corridor including HITEC City, Microsoft and Google campuses, Amazon’s tech space and Fortune 500 offices contributed significantly to its global ranking.
The presence of major biotech and pharma firms in Genome Valley further strengthened the city’s position, with experts noting that a third of the world’s vaccines are manufactured here.
Innovation and future growth prospects
Innovation hub T-Hub received global recognition for nurturing startups. Experts noted that upcoming projects such as Hyderabad Pharma City, metro rail expansion and future-focused urban planning would accelerate growth.
Quality of life remains a key driver
Lower cost of living compared with other metros, employment options in IT and construction, a cosmopolitan culture and the city’s culinary reputation including its famed biryani contributed to high scores under the Lovability and Liveability parameters.
