HYDERABAD: A four-day-old baby girl was rescued by Balapur police just before she was allegedly sold for ₹5 lakh in a suspected child trafficking case in Hyderabad.

Balapur police intervene before alleged sale

Police foiled the alleged deal with the help of social activist Safiya Mahi and rescued the infant before the transaction could take place.

Police arrested Waheeda Khatoon of Chandrayangutta in connection with the case.
