Over 21% of Hyderabad Voters Marked ASD During Electoral Roll Revision
HYDERABAD: More than one in five voters in Hyderabad district have been marked as absentee, shifted or dead (ASD) during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll, according to the Hyderabad District Election Authority.
The district has 47.36 lakh registered voters across 15 Assembly constituencies. So far, officials have identified 9.95 lakh voters (21.01%) as ASD. Election officials expect this number to rise as the revision continues.
Over 12 lakh voter forms digitised
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has digitised 12.08 lakh voter enumeration forms, covering 57.56% of the forms received so far.
Officials distributed enumeration forms to all 47.36 lakh registered voters. Of them, 4.91 lakh voters (10.37%) submitted their forms online. Voters can submit their forms until August 10.
Jubilee Hills tops ASD list, Bahadurpura leads online submissions
Jubilee Hills recorded the highest number of ASD voters at 88,933. Musheerabad followed with 84,917, while Yakutpura reported 84,792 ASD voters.
Bahadurpura recorded the highest number of online submissions with 72,393 forms. Nampally ranked second with 50,699 forms, followed by Jubilee Hills with 49,710.
