HRDA seeks action on Neelima medical college fee issue

HYDERABAD: The Healthcare Reforms Doctors Association (HRDA) said it has received a written representation from MQ1 students of Neelima Institute of Medical Sciences, seeking implementation of interim orders passed by the Telangana High Court on fee reduction.
The students told HRDA that the institute continues to demand full fees and has not extended the benefit of the reduced fee structure, despite interim directions from the court.

HRDA said several private medical colleges in Telangana have already implemented the interim orders, but Neelima Institute has not followed suit.
The association expressed concern that non-compliance is causing financial hardship and mental stress to students and their families.
Association seeks protection from coercion, harassment
HRDA said it has formally brought the issue to the notice of the Registrar of Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences and sought immediate intervention.
The association requested strict enforcement of the High Court’s interim orders and protection for students from any form of coercion or harassment.
HRDA also appealed to all private medical colleges in the state to follow the interim orders in letter and spirit and ensure a fair academic environment.
