Hallmark Vicinia, My Home Avatar residents seek urgent civic fixes from Cyberabad CMC
HYDERABAD: Residents from four major high-rise communities, Hallmark Vicinia, My Home Avatar, Jayabheri Summit, and Rajapushpa Provencia, met with Cyberabad Municipal Commissioner (CMC) G. Srijana, IAS, on Thursday. They joined forces to address key infrastructure and environmental problems affecting almost 100,000 flats in the area.
Resident Gautam Krishna Reddy coordinated the delegation. The group presented a list of demands, including better sewage management, road repairs, more green spaces, and improved drinking water supply.
During the meeting, the residents raised seven main complaints that affect daily life in the neighborhood. First, untreated sewage flows into Muski Lake, creating serious environmental and health risks. Second, the road from My Home Junction to the Hanuman Temple is in bad shape. Frequent accidents and vehicle damage happen there. Residents want urgent repairs.
Third, residents asked for land to build a large public park. Currently, there are no parks or community spaces for nearly 100,000 flats. Fourth, traffic congestion at My Home Junction is a daily problem. Additionally, residents suggested a new traffic plan and pointed out drainage diversion issues at Sumadhura Venture.
Fifth, residents highlighted the lack of trees and plants along footpaths and roads, which makes the neighborhood look barren. Sixth, poor sanitation and bad waste management at My Home Junction have made the area both unsightly and a health hazard. Finally, there is a severe shortage of drinking water in residential complexes. Many families struggle to get enough water to meet basic needs.
Residents from several high-rise communities rarely work together, but this meeting united them to demand real change. The turnout from all four complexes showed how many people are affected and how urgent these problems are.
CMC Srijana listened to the residents and promised to review their complaints quickly. She said city officials will coordinate with the right departments and act soon.
