Why Did the High Court Reject Jana Sena’s Plea?

Telangana : The Telangana High Court on Tuesday rejected a house motion petition filed by the Jana Sena Party seeking permission to hold a public meeting. The party had moved the court after police denied permission for the proposed gathering.
The petition was filed seeking urgent relief from the court and requesting directions to the police to allow the meeting. Jana Sena argued that the event should be permitted and sought immediate intervention.
Party Seeks Court Intervention
The matter came up for hearing before the High Court after the party challenged the police decision. Jana Sena contended that the denial of permission would affect its planned political programme and urged the court to grant relief.
The party’s legal team requested the court to consider the matter on priority and allow the meeting to go ahead as scheduled.
Court Declines Immediate Relief
After hearing the arguments, the High Court dismissed the house motion petition and declined to interfere with the police decision at this stage.
With the court refusing to grant immediate relief, the police order denying permission for the meeting remains in force.
Political Attention on Case
The development has drawn attention in political circles as the Jana Sena Party sought judicial intervention following the police refusal. The party is yet to announce its next course of action after the High Court’s decision.
Police had earlier denied permission for the meeting, though detailed reasons behind the decision were not immediately available.
