TG High Court grants bail to Bandi Bhagirath
HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court has granted bail to Bandi Bhagirath, who is an accused in a case registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Justice, while hearing the bail petition, granted relief subject to a ₹1 lakh surety. The court also imposed conditions, directing Bhagirath not to influence or threaten prosecution witnesses and to cooperate with the investigation and subsequent trial proceedings.
The court made it clear that the accused must strictly comply with the bail conditions. Any violation of the conditions could result in the prosecution seeking cancellation of the bail.
The POCSO case against Bhagirath is currently under investigation or trial. The High Court’s order pertains only to the grant of bail and does not amount to a decision on the merits of the allegations.
