HGCL Begins Traffic Upgrade at My Home Avatar Junction to Ease Congestion
HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL) has started traffic improvement works at the My Home Avatar Junction following recommendations from the Hyderabad Traffic Police. The project aims to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow at the busy junction.
The work includes a new U-turn and a vehicular underpass. These changes will allow smoother movement between the right and left service roads. They will also reduce traffic conflicts and improve vehicle movement.
Cycle Track remains open
As part of the project, HGCL removed a 34-metre section of the Cycle Track roof at the junction. However, the Cycle Track remains fully open for cyclists.
HGCL has provided an at-grade crossing at the location, similar to other open sections along the corridor. This ensures cyclists can continue using the track without interruption.
Safer and smoother travel
HGCL said the project will improve traffic flow while ensuring safe access for all road users. The work is part of Hyderabad’s broader plan to improve road connectivity and support sustainable transport across the city.
