Headmistress suspended for political leader’s birthday celebration at MPP school in Saroornagar

Hyderabad: The headmistress of MPP School in Nandanavanam, Saroornagar Mandal, Rajitha, has been suspended for violating the CCA Rules by allowing a political leader’s birthday celebration on school premises.
According to the proceedings issued by Rangareddy District DEO Suseendra Rao, the school hosted the event on February 17, 2025, which was supervised by a former corporator and involved the participation of students.
The proceedings revealed that Rajitha permitted the celebration, violating the TGCS (Conduct) Rules, 1964, and the Education Department’s guidelines, which prohibit the use of government schools for political activities and student involvement in such events.
As a result of the violation, Rajitha has been suspended with immediate effect. During her suspension, she is restricted from leaving the headquarters without prior approval and will be entitled only to subsistence allowance as per the rules.
