HCL Technologies to create 5,000 jobs with new campus in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: HCL Technologies is set to launch a new campus at Hi-Tech City in Hyderabad, with plans to employ an additional 5,000 engineers. The announcement follows a meeting between HCL Chairperson Roshni Nadar Malhotra and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the Secretariat on September 27, 2024.
During the meeting, discussions focused on education and skill development programs supported by the Telangana government. Chief Minister Reddy expressed his desire for HCL to participate in The Young India Skill University, which aims to enhance student training and expand educational resources across the state.
“The government is committed to collaborating with HCL on skill development initiatives that will benefit thousands of youths,” stated Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, highlighting the potential for job creation and economic growth through this strategic partnership. He also assured that the state government would provide adequate support to HCL.
Roshni Nadar said that the HCL is committed to empowering the youth of Telangana. “We are dedicated to being involved in programs that teach and empower students,” she said, noting that HCL GUVI will enhance technical capabilities and create employment opportunities. “Our partnership with the Telangana government aims to equip learners with the skills necessary for the industry and produce aspiring technicians.”
The meeting also outlined plans to extend HCL’s educational programs to other universities in Telangana, alongside The Young India Skill University, ensuring broader access to valuable training.
HCL launched its skill initiative, GUVI, two years ago, which offers technical courses in local languages. The program is designed to eliminate language barriers in technical education, further supporting the skill development of students in the region.
