Hyderabad Cricket Association Members Launching The Brochure Of Summer Cricket Coaching Camp 2024

HYDERABAD: The registration process for the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s (HCA) upcoming summer camps, set to begin on April 20, begins today, and will continue until April 18, as per HCA president A Jaganmohan Rao’s statement in the press conference on Wednesday.

The summer camps, a major initiative by the HCA, are designed to enhance the skills of budding cricketers across the state. Scheduled to run from Monday to Saturday, from 10 am to 6 pm, the camps will cater to players in various age categories, including U-14, U-16, and U-19 for boys, and U-15 and U-19 for girls.

Spread across 28 centers in Telangana, these camps will be conducted free of charge, with the HCA also providing free refreshments to all participants. Each center is expected to accommodate approximately 80-100 trainees, ensuring a focused and enriching learning environment for the participants.

Jaganmohan Rao further elaborated that a total of 2,500 cricketers will receive free training for a duration of 30 days. The HCA is committed to nurturing talent and has plans to develop these summer training camps into full-fledged cricket academies in the future. In districts where expert coaches and physios are not available, the HCA will arrange for National Institute of Sports (NIS) coaches and physios to ensure the highest quality of training.

Post summer camp, district teams will be selected, and there are plans in place to organize district cricket tournaments in Hyderabad. Each District Cricket Association has already been allocated Rs 15 lakh for the camps, with an additional Rs 25 lakh for each of the three centers in a district, highlighting the HCA’s dedication to cricket development at the grassroots level.

Moreover, the HCA is planning to establish four Gymkhana-style cricket grounds in Hyderabad, further enhancing the city’s cricket infrastructure. This move is part of the association’s broader vision to promote cricket at all levels and groom future cricket stars.
