Hasanparthi road accident kills youth

TELANGANA: A youth was killed in a road accident in Hasanparthi of Hanumakonda district on the Warangal–Karimnagar National Highway on Sunday.

Police said the victim, Vidyasagar of Elkathurthi, was riding a two-wheeler to deliver milk packets to Ananthasagar. When he was attempting to cross the road at Ananthasagar cross on the Warangal–Karimnagar National Highway, a tipper lorry hit his motorcycle.
Victim dies on the spot
Vidyasagar suffered grievous injuries in the impact and died on the spot, police said. His body was shifted to a government hospital for post-mortem examination. Family members and local residents reached the spot soon after the accident and expressed grief over the incident.
Case registered based on father’s complaint
Based on a complaint lodged by his father Ashok, police registered a case and took up an inquiry. Police said they are examining the circumstances leading to the accident and will take further action based on the findings of the investigation.
Local residents said the Ananthasagar cross has witnessed frequent traffic movement and called for caution while crossing the national highway. Police advised motorists to follow traffic rules strictly and remain alert, especially on highway stretches passing through villages.
