Three held for ₹29 lakh Habibnagar burglary; cash, gold recovered

HYDERABAD: The Habibnagar police have cracked a burglary case involving the theft of cash and gold ornaments worth ₹29 lakh from the house of a family that had gone on the Umrah pilgrimage. Three people, including close relatives of the victims and a former shop helper associated with the family, have been arrested.
Police recover ₹12.50 lakh cash and gold ornaments
Police recovered ₹12.50 lakh in cash and 134.44 grams of gold ornaments during the investigation. According to police, the accused took advantage of the family’s absence to commit the burglary.
CCTV footage leads police to accused
Investigators analysed CCTV footage and gathered other evidence before tracking down and arresting the accused. Cases have been registered against them, and further investigation is underway.
