Cyberabad police announce diversions for Grace Caner Run on October 6

Gachibowli: In preparation for the Grace Caner Run, organised by the Grace Cancer Foundation, a traffic advisory has been issued by the Cyberabad Traffic Police. The event is set to take place on October 6, 2024 (Sunday), from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Participants will take part in a 10 km, 5 km, and 2 km run, starting from the Gachibowli main stadium and covering various roads, including IIIT Junction and Wipro Junction via TNGOs Colony.
The 10 km run will commence at the G.M.C Balayogi Main Stadium at Gate Number 01, proceeding with a right turn at IIIT Junction, another right at ISB, followed by a U-turn at Wipro Junction.
Runners will then turn left onto TNGOs Colony Road, make a U-turn, return to the main road, take a left at IIIT Junction, and finish back at Gachibowli Stadium Gate Number 1.
The 5 km event will start similarly at the stadium, with participants turning right at IIIT Junction and ISB before making their way back to Gachibowli Stadium Gate Number 1.
The 2 km run will also begin at the stadium, proceeding with a right turn at IIIT Junction, followed by a U-turn and a return to the starting point.
To ensure a smooth event, certain traffic diversions will be in effect. Major junctions affected include Gachibowli Junction, IIIT Junction, Indranagar, Gachibowli Stadium, and HCU Gate No. 2 towards Lingampalli. Traffic from Mehdipatnam and ORR will be redirected towards Kondapur-Radisson Junction-Botanical Junction-Heritage Junction-Masjid Banda Village during the event hours.
Additionally, vehicles from the Financial District, Gowlidoddi, Gopanpally Thanda, and Q-City heading towards Gachibowli will be diverted from Wipro Junction to Nanakramguda village, merging into ORR. For traffic from Lingampally, HCU, Masjid Banda T Junction, Gachibowli Stadium, and DLF Junction, diversions will route drivers through Radisson Junction and ZPHS Gachibowli towards Mehdipatnam.
Traffic from Kondapur and Kothaguda towards Lingampalli will also be redirected through Botanical Junction and Heritage Junction.
Furthermore, there will be restrictions on heavy vehicles, including trucks, lorries, DCMs, RMC, and water tankers, which will not be allowed on the specified routes from 5:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on the day of the event.
The general public is advised to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with the Traffic Police to ensure a smooth flow of traffic during this important event.
