HYDERABAD: A primary school teacher from Gaurapur in Indravelli mandal of Adilabad district, Todsam Kailash, has translated the Ramayana into the Gondi language. He has compiled the fifth part of Sunderkand in book form, which will be unveiled on October 26 by Governor Jishnu Dev Varma.

Kailash releases Sunderkand Part 5 in Gondi

Kailash, who hails from Vagapur in Mavala mandal, had earlier translated the Mahabharata into Gondi. He has also experimented with using artificial intelligence to make computers read news, narrate stories, and sing songs in the Gondi language.

Following these innovations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Kailash during his Mann Ki Baat radio address. Kailash said he undertook these translations to help tribal communities learn about the Ramayana and Mahabharata in their own mother tongue.
