GHMC launches WhatsApp helpline to report sanitation issues in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Residents of Hyderabad can now report sanitation problems directly to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) through a dedicated WhatsApp helpline.
Citizens can send photos and location details of issues such as garbage on roads, uncleared waste, overflowing bins, choked nalas that need desilting, and green waste that requires removal.
Residents can send complaints on WhatsApp or call 8125966586. GHMC officials said the service will make grievance reporting simple and accessible.
Under this initiative, citizens can file complaints without visiting GHMC offices. The civic body introduced the system to ensure a quicker response to sanitation issues across the city.
GHMC has also released a short awareness video. The video explains how residents can report sanitation problems using WhatsApp.
